HEALTH & SAFETY

The health and safety of our students is the top priority for Texas State University. Our office continues to monitor the health and safety levels of other countries. Approved locations for Education Abroad programs must have a travel advisory level 1 or level 2  issued by the U.S. Department of State.

Students are strongly advised to stay informed by visiting the Department of State website, the Centers for Disease Control website and by downloading the On Call International app to receive travel alerts in your area. It is also important to keep your family informed and invite them to contact On Call International for professional safety and health advice (contact information can be found on your On Call insurance card)

Students are also encouraged to be attentive to the safety recommendations from your local program providers and authorities. If you experience any of the symptoms of the coronavirus which include fever, cough, tightness of the chest, and difficulty breathing, you should seek medical advice by contacting On Call International, which is available 24/7.

All updates from Texas State will go out to students via email. We remind students about the importance of keeping their cell phones and data on at all times in order to receive these notifications.
