Affiliated Providers

You ARE NOT approved to participate in a Texas State Affiliated Program until you are accepted by Education Abroad. You must meet BOTH deadlines, Education Abroad's and your Affiliated Provider's.


American Institute for Foreign Studies (AIFS)

They offer programs in 20+ countries with courses for almost any majors. All programs include some excursions and some-to-all meals, depending on program location and duration. Flight packages are available on all programs. Experienced on-site staff are available 24/7 in case of emergency. Huge variety of on-site activities are planned in each site. 

Texas State Students receive an exclusive affiliation discounts for all programs: 

  • Fall and Spring Semester: $400
  • January Term and Summer: $200 

Academic Programs International (API)

API is committed to providing programs that are academically, professionally, and personally transformative for all API participants. API offers study, intern, teach, work, and volunteer program around the world!

API prides itself on the services and features it includes in its program costs so as to minimize the out-of-pocket expenses for students on site. API Program Managers and on site Resident Directors are knowledgeable and readily available to assist students throughout the pre-departure process and while they're abroad. 

All API students take courses at fully accredited foreign universities or institutes with U.S. schools of record, rather than at an academic center.

CEA Study Abroad

Many CEA Programs are offered with options to take courses at multiples institutions. CEA integrates hands-on, location-specific cultural and co-curricular activities that bring lessons learned in class to life. They also offer career-building opportunities such as international internships, career workshops, and job shadowing. CEA enhances cultural immersion and community engagement through service learning and volunteering opportunities abroad.

CEA has no application fee for Texas State Students. 

European Innovation Academy (EIA)

This opportunity is offered in collaboration with McCoy College of Business. EIA offers a program with a real-world, immersive experience in an international multidisciplinary community.

Students will be immersed in an intense and fun international working environment while creating a startup with students from around the world. Students will learn from practical, insider knowledge from world-class mentors and speakers from Silicon Valley and other global hubs. 

This program is open to graduate and undergraduate students from all majors. 

Global Experiences (GE Internships)

Ge focuses on career readiness and global leadership offering internship in different worldwide locations and two domestic locations.

Dedicated Global Experiences staff are in all locations, assisting with on-site activities, cultural/social event programming. Career Development establishing career objectives, resume and cover letter training and interview preparation are available. 

International Studies Abroad (ISA)

ISA offers programs in 29 countries and 65 cities around the world. They offer study, intern, service learning and research programs abroad with combination programs available as well. ISA is committed to promoting cultural discovery through knowledgeable and professional on-site staff and an array of activities, excursions, housing options and support services for all of its students. 

The Bridge Cultures Program (BCP) encompasses the ISA on-site orientation delivered to all students in the first days of their ISA program, with key improvements in areas related to goal setting, intercultural awareness, and professional development. 

Semester at Sea

Unlike traditional study abroad program, Semester at Sea's passenger ship brings together college students with learners at all stages of life to study with world renowned professors in a shipboard classroom setting and in countries around the globe. 

While not at sea, voyagers spend an average of 45 days of their semester exploring the cultures and environments of 10+ port countries. 

Students can earn 12-15 transferrable credits from Colorado State University. Each voyage offers 70-75 upper and lower division courses across multiple disciplines. Each student enrolls in Global Studies: their core courses for the entire shipboard community that draws comparisons between cultures, countries, and the environment. 

University of New York in Prague (UNYP)

Located in the heart of Prague, on a quiet tree lined street just minutes away on foot from Prague's main attractions, UNYP welcomes over 65 different nationalities as part of their student body. There is an active student life including 12 student clubs, 3 sports teams, a Student Council, access to gym and pool. 

UNYP offers courses in the areas of Business, Psychology, Communication and International Relations. All courses are taught in English, in the American teaching style. 

University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC)

USAC offers over 40 programs located in 27 countries worldwide, including non-traditional city locations to offer unique cultural immersion opportunities. All majors can attend their programs.

On-site staff and support from USAC and/or host university staff and services are available. USAC awards over $1 million in scholarships and discounts each year.
