A growing number of students are taking advantage of the opportunity to study abroad in one of the many programs available from Texas State. If you are among these students and are preparing to study abroad, you may have a number of questions. The planned orientation sessions will give you the chance to ask questions. The information and forms that you must complete prior to enrollment in a study abroad program are listed below.
Note: If you do not already have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, you will need to download it to open the application documents. If you are unable to do so, you may also contact our office to request the application materials be sent to you.
After you print out and complete the Study Abroad Application Packet, the application forms must be approved by the dean of students, academic advisor, and academic program director. Students must submit these forms along with a copy of the receipt of their first payment to the Office of Study Abroad Programs. The deadlines for submitting these forms and installments vary depending on the program. Please visit the Program Offerings page for all applicable deadlines. Space is limited in all programs, so early registration is strongly recommended.
You are required to complete all forms, see that they are signed, and meet all orientation dates and deadlines. After you have completed the forms, submit them to the Office of Study Abroad Programs. For more information, you may contact your academic program director or the Office of Study Abroad Programs. If you receive financial aid, you will need to notify the Texas State Financial Aid Office, located in J.C. Kellam 220, that you have been accepted to this program.
