Planning Steps

1.  Define your goals for your Education Abroad experience, ask yourself, why do you want to participate in an Education Abroad program? 

  • Do you seek meaningful intellectual and personal growth?
  • Do you want to expand your cultural awareness and appreciation?
  • Do you want to learn a new language? Or master your bilingual communication and language skills?  
  • Do you want to pursue academic research outside of the U.S.?

 


 

2. Browse our website to learn about the different types of programs that we offer.

 


 

3. Attend a General Information Session.

 


 

4. Schedule an appointment with an Education Abroad Advisor .

  • This is a required step for Affiliated, Exchange, and Non-Affiliated programs. Please book an appointment with Dr. Oleksandra Sehin. 
  • If you have any questions about Faculty-Led program application, please book an appointment with Manon Bowen. This is optional.

 


 

5. For Faculty-Led programs students must call, email, or meet with your academic advisor to discuss what courses to take while abroad. Fill out the Academic Advising form and have your advisor sign off on the courses.

 


 

6. Submit your online application to your desired program. 

 


 

7. Apply for scholarshipsYou can start applying for financial assistance before you are accepted. 

 


 

 8. Complete all post-acceptance steps in your online application once you have been notified by Education Abroad of your acceptance into the program.

 


 

9. Attend mandatory orientations and review the pre-departure information here.
